I would not be trampled only by heaven's excess
my life indeed has undergone so many kinds of stress

نے جائے واں بنے ہے نے بن جائے چین ہے
کیا کیجیے ہمیں تو ہے مشکل سبھی طرح

neither can I go there, nor can I stay away
what can I do? I am constrained, each and every way

معشوق اور بھی ہیں بتا دے جہان میں
کرتا ہے کون ظلم کسی پر تری طرح

in this world, there'd surely be, other beloveds too
tell me is there anyone as cruel as you?

ہوں جاں بہ لب بتان ستم گر کے ہاتھ سے
کیا سب جہاں میں جیتے ہیں مومنؔ اسی طرح

my life hangs on edge due to these idol's cruelty
