'मोमिन' ख़ुदा के वास्ते ऐसा मकाँ न छोड़
दोज़ख़ में डाल ख़ुल्द को कू-ए-बुताँ न छोड़

for sake of God! momin from leaving this house refrain
let paradise to hell consign, leave not the idol's lane

आशिक़ तो जानते हैं वो ऐ दिल यही सही
हर-चंद बे-असर है पर आह ओ फ़ुग़ाँ न छोड़

that she knows you love her, O heart this much you gain
don't give up your lamentation, though it be in vain

उस तबा-ए-नाज़नीं को कहाँ ताब-ए-इंफ़िआल
जासूस मेरे वास्ते ऐ बद-गुमाँ न छोड़

अच्छा तू अपनी ख़ू-ए-बद ऐ बद-ज़बाँ न छोड़

some other gentle beauty will now on my heart sustain

ज़ख़्मी किया उदू को तो मरना मुहाल है
क़ुर्बान जाऊँ तेरे मुझे नीम-जाँ न छोड़

होता है इस जहीम में हासिल विसाल-ए-जौर
'मोमिन' अजब बहिश्त है दैर-ए-मुग़ाँ न छोड़
