ابن مریم ہوا کرے کوئی

ابن مریم ہوا کرے کوئی
میرے دکھ کی دوا کرے کوئی

Let anyone the son of mary be
How will I know till I find remedy

شرع و آئین پر مدار سہی
ایسے قاتل کا کیا کرے کوئی

When sanctioned by laws of divinity
For such a killer what can one decree?

چال جیسے کڑی کمان کا تیر
دل میں ایسے کے جا کرے کوئی

Like an arrow drawn her graceful gait
In this heart embedded directly

بات پر واں زبان کٹتی ہے
وہ کہیں اور سنا کرے کوئی

My every word she contradicts alas
If I could, but, speak and she agree

بک رہا ہوں جنوں میں کیا کیا کچھ
کچھ نہ سمجھے خدا کرے کوئی

Lord I pray that no one comprehends
All that I rant and rave in ecstasy

نہ سنو گر برا کہے کوئی
نہ کہو گر برا کرے کوئی

If someone speaks ill pay no heed
Stay silent if behave they sinfully

روک لو گر غلط چلے کوئی
بخش دو گر خطا کرے کوئی

Stop them if they step misguidedly
Forgive them if they act mistakenly

کون ہے جو نہیں ہے حاجت مند
کس کی حاجت روا کرے کوئی

Is there anyone who's not in need?
Then to whom does one do charity?

کیا کیا خضر نے سکندر سے
اب کسے رہ نما کرے کوئی

What did Khizr for Alexander do?
For guidance then who shall I go and see?

جب توقع ہی اٹھ گئی غالبؔ
کیوں کسی کا گلہ کرے کوئی

When no expectations remain
why complain of adversity?
