بحر گر بحر نہ ہوتا تو بیاباں ہوتا

تنگی دل کا گلہ کیا یہ وہ کافر دل ہے
کہ اگر تنگ نہ ہوتا تو پریشاں ہوتا

بعد یک عمر ورع بار تو دیتا بارے
کاش رضواں ہی در یار کا درباں ہوتا

after a life of abstinence, he wouldn't make me wait
