Knocking on our closed doors,it brings
The illusion of meeting to our night of separation

udas aankhon se dariya ka tazkira kar ke
zamana hum ko hamari misal deta hai

Talking of the river to sorrowful eyes
The world gives us our own example

ye kaisa raat mein taron ka silsila nikla
jo gardishon mein muqaddar bhi Dhaal deta hai

What is this procession of stars tonight
That mould destiny in endless circles

bichhaD ke tum se yaqin ho chala hai ye mujh ko
ki ishq lutf-e-saza be-misal deta hai
